Osterville Library
Ford 3 Architects is in the early design phase for a community library for Osterville, Massachusetts. This is the continuation of plans originally developed by Charles T. Bellingrath, AIA, a friend and fellow Princeton School of Architecture classmate of Jeremiah Ford, who died in 2005. A 21,000 square foot library has been designed to replace a deteriorating former 5 & 10 store that had been converted earlier into the town library. The new Library’s design features expanded facilities, such as a homework computer learning center for children, a separate area for teens and young adults, a community room near the front entrance, and meeting rooms that will be accessible to the community and for private functions during and after regular library hours.
