Ford 3 was asked to consider a new community building at Davis Island in Tampa, Florida. Located at the Seaplane Basin Park, bounded by the park, Davis Island Yacht Club, Davis Island Dog Beach, and Davis Islands Beach. The design incorporates integration and access to the existing amenities but also incorporates the addition of a community sailing building that also has space for the Davis Island community and incorporates substantial sustainable features.

“Interaction zones between people and nature are created by continuing the pedestrian walk through restored natural environments, terminating at the community building, a destination for recreation and education that reinforces the connection to the bay.”
