MOIRA MCCLINTOCK, AIA
PARTNER
-
Moira’s passion for art, education and preservation are in her DNA: her father taught philosophy and social sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University and her mother is an architectural historian and theorist in Manhattan at Parsons, The New School for Design.
Also an artist, Moira feels more connected to architecture. “It’s an interesting art form because it’s also a business — one where you are working for your clients. It’s not as individual as other art forms, and I enjoy the collaborative aspect of our design work.”
A registered architect in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, prior to founding Ford 3, McClintock worked with Allan Greenberg, Architect in Washington D.C.; Ferguson, Shamamian and Rattner in New York and Ford Farewell Mills and Gatsch.
In addition to her professional activities, Moira is active in her local community, participating in both civic and charitable organizations. Her studies abroad sparked a lifelong commitment to historic preservation in maintaining our built environment.
ERIN COLLINS-CECIL, AIA
PROJECT ARCHITECT
-
As a Project Architect, Erin brings a love of design and a wealth of unique experience in a multitude of project types to Ford 3’s team.
Fourteen years in architectural forensics and building diagnostics has provided Erin with an understanding of how material usage and construction practices can make or break a project, and the importance of proper building repairs and maintenance. Moreover, Erin believes that preserving and protecting our environment is of utmost importance. “Preservation and adaptive re-use of existing buildings, historic or not, is extremely important to the fabric of our communities and is one of the best ways to help address climate change.”
A registered architect in New Jersey, Erin graduated from the New Jersey School of Architecture at NJIT with a Bachelor of Architecture with honors. Over the course of 20 years in the architecture, construction, and forensic science fields, one of the things that Erin loves most about being an architect is not only realizing projects for Clients but learning from each one.
In addition to her professional activities, Erin is actively involved with Habitat for Humanity. When not working, Erin loves to travel, spend time with family and in the outdoors, dance, and makes it a point to attend as many live music events as humanly possible.
QUINN SCHWENKER, AIA, LEED AP
PARTNER
-
Quinn understands the power of teamwork: First in his work as a Founding Partner of Ford 3 Architects where he collaborates with co-workers and clients, and secondly as a member of the 5-person crew that won the 2013 US National Championships in the J/24 sailboat.
“Sailing and architecture both require an attention to detail and focus. In sailing I enjoy how the different components influence each other: wind, geography, current, speed, tactics and strategy – all must be aligned to win a regatta where success is measured in seconds. With architecture, the relationship between individual design elements on a micro and macro level determines the success of the project.”
A registered architect in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, and a LEED Accredited Professional, Quinn places equal emphasis on sustainability and creativity in his designs. Prior to founding Ford 3, he was a Designer and Project Manager with Ford Farewell Mills and Gatsch.
Quinn regularly competes in regional, national and international architectural competitions, and has placed in the Van Alen Young Architect Competition, Dinkeloo Competition and had entries accepted at both the Quebec Waterfront and the Princeton Architectural Press competitions.
